Why it exists
Three ways a label goes wrong
None of these are unusual, and all three cost an evening.
A listing gets flagged
A marketplace pulls a wax melt listing because the label is one hazard statement short. You find out from the email, the listing is down while you fix it, and the reviewer will not tell you which statement is missing.
Your supplier reformulates
A new safety data sheet lands for a fragrance you already sell. The classification has moved, so the label has moved with it, and every pack size using that oil needs redoing before the next batch goes out.
The wording will not fit
The text is right and the tin is 40 mm across. CLP sets a minimum size for the pictograms and for the regulated text, so shrinking it until it fits is the one thing you cannot do.

Drop in the PDF your fragrance oil supplier gave you. We read the classification, the hazard statements and the allergens out of it.
Step 2
Enter your fragrance percentage and pack size
Tell us how much fragrance is in the product and how big the pack is. The classification follows the load in the finished product, and working that out is the part we do for you.
Step 3
Check it at true size, then download it
The preview is at true size, so you see the label as it will print. Pictograms and minimum text sizes are set for you. Take it away as a print-ready PDF or an SVG.
What is included
Everything that goes on the label
Every line comes from your safety data sheet or from your recipe.
- Product name and pack size, with net weight or volume
- Hazard pictograms at the required minimum size
- The signal word, Warning or Danger, where one applies
- Hazard statements, the H codes, in full sentences
- Precautionary statements, the P codes, chosen and combined
- Allergen declarations from the fragrance, such as linalool and limonene
- Your UFI, that is a Unique Formula Identifier, generated and set where poison centre rules require it
- Batch code and date fields
- Your business name, address and contact details as the supplier
- Candle, melt, diffuser and spray safety wording, such as burn within sight
- CLP text set at the minimum size your pack size requires

Candles, melts, diffusers and sprays
One calculation sits behind all four. It produces a different label for each of them, and this is what changes.
Container candles
Wax poured into a jar or a tin, sold by net weight.
The classification is worked out from the fragrance load in the finished wax, so the same oil can land on a different label in a 180 g tin than in a 30 cl jar. Candle safety wording sits alongside the CLP elements.

Wax melts
Wax segments, shapes or pots for a warmer, sold by net weight.
The same calculation as a candle, and the same standard behind the safety wording, but the wording itself is written for a warmer rather than a flame.

Reed diffusers
A fragrance base in a bottle with reeds, sold by volume.
A diffuser runs at a far higher fragrance load than a candle, so hazard statements and allergen declarations appear here that a candle at the same fragrance never triggers. Diffuser safety wording is added on top.

Room sprays
Fragrance in an alcohol or solvent base, in a spray bottle, sold by volume.
The base usually brings flammability into the classification, which changes the pictogram and the signal word. Being sprayed at all adds a precautionary statement of its own.
